Is updating Dynamics.set file programatically while uninstalling features using third party uninstallers is an best practice of Microsoft?

Hi All,

We have developed an third party features in Dexterity. To install and uninstall these features we have our own developed installers and uninstallers. When ever we un install the developed 3rd party features deleting the product dictionary and updating the feature information in Dynamics.set file is be treated as an best practice followed by Microsoft? Can anybody help me with this?
