Hi. We are thinking to launch a new e-commerce product and I have some doubts if and what Dynamics products could/should we use. In general, it should consist of:
- e-shop portal - it is quite specific and has some custom customer interactions, so it has to be customizable,
- back office for finance and warehouse - for this part we think to use Dynamics F&O (Dynamics Finance and Dynamics Supply Chain Management) products.
My current concern is about the e-shop part. Since it has to be customizable, we would like to build the client side/storefront our self, maybe with Nextjs or Gatsby to build a fast static website. In such case, could and should we use Dynamics Commerce for admin (CMS + e-commerce) part? The more detailed question is:
- Could/should Dynamics Commerce be used as a headless CMS and headless e-commerce for Nextjs/Gatsby storefront? Or should we choose a lighter alternative like Strapi + CommerceLayer (just like an example) for such case? Or maybe it is possible to only use Dynamics as a headless e-commerce while choose an alternative headless CMS?
Yeah, that's quite an open question, but do you have any suggestions? I have no experience with Dynamics at all :)
