Is there a way to limit the number of campaigns a contact can receive in a period of time?

Hi,

I would like to know if I can limit the number of customer journeys in which a contact can appear and be received during a period of time.

For example, if during a month I can only send four customer journeys to each contact, if I am going to send the fifth customer journey and there is a contact that appears in the four previous ones it should be omitted from the campaign mailing.

    Hi vcamposp,

    You could build a segment that combines multiple query blocks by "and also" operator as in screenshot below and set it as suppression segment of the fifth customer journey.

    It will query contacts who have received marketing email in previous four customer journey.

    Please note that operator names have been changed in current release:

    previous name       current name

    union                      or

    intersect                 and also

    except                    but not

    Hello,

    First of all, thank you very much for your answer.

    We have been studying this possibility but it does not fit with the client's requirements.

    Our client has several restrictions when a contact receives several campaigns during a specific period of time.

    For example, a contact can only receive three customer journeys from one department and three from another department in twenty-eight days. In total six customer journeys in twenty-eight days.

    As you can see, we have to control departments, customer paths and the number of campaigns that the recipients have received.

    Since there are so many variables, could we implement a logic developed by ourselves by extending the application?

    Hi vcamposp,

    Is "department" the Owner field of customer journey?

    And are you seeking for a automatic process to detect whether a contact has received customer journeys from same owner for several times when a customer journey is ready to go live?

    (the number of campaigns that the recipients have received.)

    If yes, currently there is no such detection mechanism, thus we couldn't restrict contacts to receive customer journey from a specific owner in limited number of times.

    You could submit the feature requirement to Ideas forum.
