    Hi Effamira,

This button is part of the duty 'Maintain fixed assets' and the privilege 'Maintain fixed assets'. The duty is part of some default roles like Accountant and Accountant supervisor.

you can check AssetTableMaintain  privilege with label Maintain fixed asset records

or AssetFixedAssetsMaintain duty  with label Maintain fixed assets

or Accountant / Accounting supervisor roles

    Hi Andre,

    Thanks for your reply.

I try to grant role accountant/accountant supervisor to this user, but still unable to see 'Copy Fixed Asset' button.

I also create new role with privileges that related to 'Maintain Fixed Assets', but also fail.

    Below is the result:

    Please advise.

    Hi Effamira,

If it is not showing, please check if it is visible for a system administrator. If not, the form might have been customized.

If it is visible for the system administrator, then possibly the security might have been changed. You can check this in the AOT on the related security objects. You can also use the Security Development Tool to get some more insights.

    Dear Andre,

Yes, system administrator can see the button.

When I checked again the UI, actually the button/function can be seen after we click 'Edit',

and the function is the same. Just wonder why I cannot see the button in New section as system admin.

System admin can see 'Copy fixed asset button' in New section:

User can see 'Fixed asset' button only in New section:

After click edit, user can see 'Copy fixed asset' button in New Section & the function same as system admin:

    Hi Effamira,

The menu item used on the list page and the details form are two different ones with their possibly own security settings (AssetCopy and AssetCopyAction {listpage}).

Note that both are part of the security objects mentioned above. So, I guess the AssetCopyAction menu item has been changed within the privilege. Or someone changed the form control property of this menu item on the list page (changed NeededPermission to Manual). In that case, it is also not visible to users unless it has been overridden on the role as form control permission.

You can compare this form to check if you have any customization related to this point or not.

    Hi,

Now I successfully made the 'Copy fixed asset' button display as system admin.

I changed the permission table 'AssetTableListPage' & 'AssetTableNew' to full control.

Thanks for your support. Much appreciated!
