Scan a QR code vCard into CRM?

I know about the way to scan the old-fashioned business card using the Sales apps and a mobile phone. I have also tried the AIBuilder business card scanner that does the same thing using an image (of the business card).

But what about QR codes and vCards with all the data embedded? Is there really no way to scan such a vCard QR code and have a Contact created in Dynamics??

Spent much time searching but not found anything really useful...

Thx,

I am not aware of an OOB functionality for this.
The closest I could think is to create a Canvas app which has a built in QR scanner which can connect to Dataverse and create the Contact record with the data you read and the mappings you defined.

You could also embedd the Canvas app in your MDA if that is needed.

    Hi,

Regarding your request to scan a QR code vCard into CRM, it is not supported.

You can use third party applications, there may be some third party applications and integrations available in the Microsoft AppSource Marketplace that provide QR code and vCard scanning capabilities for Dynamics 365

You can find the QR code application by clicking the link below
    https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-US/marketplace/apps?search=qr%20code&page=1

In addition, if you think this requirement is essential, you can propose an idea by clicking on the following link

I hope my answer is helpful to you! If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me.

    Best Regards,
