Hi all,
Quick question:
How do I enable RDP access to Azure VM through LCS?
Which kind of VM is it?
You can access Cloud hosted environments (in your Azure subscription) without any actions in LCS.
MS hosted systems require you to Enable access via Maintain button/menu in environment details in LCS.
New "self service" environments can't be accessed via RDP since they are not running on VMs.
Prod system was never possible to access via RDP.
To access Microsoft managed non-production Sandbox (Tier 1 & Tier 2+) environments or cloud hosted environments, you will need to whitelist them again through LCS by navigating to the Environment page (Maintain -> Enable access). Please see docs.microsoft.com/.../cloud-deployment-overview for information on how to whitelist
If it's a cloud host envt, you need to enable the RDP NSG by going to your Azure portal, search the resource group with the envt name, and locate the RDP NSG, then enable it. Otherwise you won't get the remote access.
As far as I know, RDP access to Cloud hosted environments is enabled by default from anywhere. So you don't need to change that setting in order to get access - unless someone has purposefully defined some restrictions there.
