Own URL to redirect to Dynamics CRM Online

Hello all!

I have a client that is using Dynamics 365 online, and the url is the long name [dynamicsurl].crm.dynamics.com.

Knowing that you can’t change that URL to something more friendly, he asked if it is possible for him to create a local web page that redirects to the dynamics crm url. He’s not sure if there will be security problems, or something that Dynamics will block during the redirect.

So in resume, he wants to create a webpage wich url is [myshoturl.com], that redirects to [dynamicsurl].crm.dynamics.com.

Can this work?

    +1 for Aric's suggestion.

    The shortURL page is just redirecting to your CRM instance.

    The CRM instance will still take you to the login page, unless you are already logged in.

    Hello Jorge ,

    Exactly I am agreed with Aric  as  the dummy page is only for redirecting purpose or as a reference  URL , and its not going to impact anything as once Dynamics 365 URL open in the browser the URL completely replace with Dynamics 365 URL  there is no relation from which page dynamics 365 has been redirected.

    There shouldn't be any issue redirecting a url to the dynamics url.

    Have a web page with an onload event with the following code:

    window.location.href = "https://[crmOrgName].crm.dynamics.com";
