How do i get the attachment to the email when tracking in CRM?

CRM 4.0  While tracking an email with an attachment, the email is tracked but the attachment is not.  is there a fix or rollup needed?  When I check on the History the email record is found but not the attachment.

    Hi Jimsim,

    Hope you are doing well.

    I verified that Both in CRM 4.0 and in CRM 2011 if you are tracking any Email with attachment than it will track in E-mail activities and you can see that attachment in the Attachment Tab of the E-mails Activity.

    The issue you are facing here might be related to:

    1. The size of the attached file if it is large in size you might need to change the system settings from CRM application: Click on settings>system settings>Email tab> Change the "maximum file size(in kilobytes) " to larger value>Do an IIS reset and then try to track the E-mail and see the behavior.

    2. If you are getting any error message then a Client side and server side traces will help to understand what is causing this issue

    3. if your CRM server and Client machine is not on latest update roll up then i would suggest you install latest update rollup first and then the behavior.

    I am having the same issue in Dynamics 365 v9.

    No issues with the attachment size or server-side sync.

    Could anyone see if this is the case and what's the solution?
