Celedon auto number pluging

I installed the Celedon auto number plugin (as recommended on other threads in the blog) so i can create an opportunity reference for new opportunities on my system, the plugin installed without any problems and i can see it where i need it.

Can anyone explain how i create a new filed to add to the opportunity field though?

I have tried clicking on new and creating a new auto number but every time i add an entity name it says the entity does not exist (see screenshot).

Would appreciate any help on this.

you need to write the logicalname of the entity and the attributes

in your case you need to write opportunity and not Opportunity (logicalname are always lower case)

the attribute is new_nameoftheattribute (if new is your prefix and the field is custom) or nameofattribute (if it's a standard field)

Hello,

I installed the Celedon auto number plugin as recommended and got no error message. I want to use with my custom entity (new_rma) which have a text field (new_name) where I usually complete manually. for example I want to see RMA_2016-001-1012. I configured as follow:

Entity Name* = new_rma

Number of Digits* = 3

Prefix = RMA_{createdon:yyyy}

Conditional OptionSet = new_name

Attribute Name* = new_name

Next Number* = 2

Suffix = {createdon:mm}{createdon:dd}

Conditional Value* 3    (I don't know what is the correct value?)

I expect to see in my new record the following number RMA_2016-002-1012 but it is not working.

I tried to set simple numbers without special parameters {X} but got the same behavior.

Have you suggestions for me? thank you in advance.

you don't need to insert values on conditional optionset and conditional value if you don't need to use that logic, try to clear that two fields and try again

Hi Guido,

Thank you very much for your very quick response.

I cleared both fields and still the same result. No number is generated.

I check the status and it seems everything is ok (activated and managed) in the Celedon auto number.

Do I have to create or activate a process?

Hello Guido,

I tried again and now is working.

Except the month parameter is incrementing too instead state unchanged. for example I got RMA_2016-002-5212 then RMA_2016-003-5512 etc. I will take a look in the link below to see if I found more details.

try with MM instead of mm (mm is minutes, MM is month)

Hi Guido,

I have a similar error message, trying to generate Project ID.

In entity = 'project'

In Attribute Name = 'def_project_id' (customised field created and already published in the project entity)

So it appears that project entity is not seen by the plug in.

Any suggestions?

Hi Recardo,

Would you please share how did you solve this?

I have create the autonumber parameters and it seems the autonumber increments each time I create a record, but I cannot get the number "pasted" into the field create in opportunity.

It is supposed to "paste" the autonumber in new_irenqcode which is a text field
