In outbound marketing it was possible to ceate segments based on one or more web visits since this tacking was included in the Web tracking script. Does anyone know if and when this will be possible in Customer Insights? I know you can use triggers in an journey and act on single visits on a specific URL or so, but we are interested in building journeys based on more than one visit on specifik URLs.
Will this be included in the web tracking script as in Outbound, or whats the plan around this area? :)
Use Triggers + Custom Data Persistence
Capture web visits via the RTM script.
Store visit data in a custom table (e.g., Web Visit Log) using a Power Automate flow or Event Hub streaming.
Build segments from that custom data. Customer Insights – Data (CI-D)
If you’re licensed for Customer Insights – Data, you can ingest web tracking data into the unified profile.
From there, you can create measures like “Count of visits to URL X in last 30 days” and use them for segmentation. Hybrid Approach
Use journey triggers to capture visits.
Increment a custom counter field on the Contact/Lead.
Segment on the counter field (e.g., Visits ≥ 3)
