Hello,
I am attempting to import a csv file into my bank reconcilation and getting this error message, how can I import a field that is blank (description field)?  The Column No. is 11 for the text I need to import.

This is my data exchange column definition setup:  (the date field was giving errors too so I just changed it to text, however I don't know if that will work either because I haven't been able to import it yet because of error on column 11.
I have the same question (0)

In your data exchange definition, go the line definitions and select Field Mapping

And then find your description column and check the Optional column to yes

you could also pad the blank with zeros since BC is asking for 75 characters. you need the padding to fill up the spaces.
As Valentin says BC won't ask for that field if made optional. you could try different methods to fit your needs.

Hi, hope the following can give you some hints as well.
Dynamics 365 Business Central: Add more custom processing when importing Bank Statement (Bank Export/Import Setup)

    Thanks.

Hi, Please see screenshot, Blank Zero checkbox in Data Exchange Definition will help you to solve this. After enable this you can import the csv without any error even if that columns does'nt have data.
