CRM 2016 on-prem upgrade question

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

I'm currently on CRM 2015 on-prem update 0.1. I have two full-server role deployments on two app servers which are load balanced. I have my SQL instance on a separate SQL server.

I'm now planning my upgrade to CRM 2016 on-prem, for which I'm going to do an in-place upgrade. I've upgraded my QA environments (which are not load balanced) successfully.

What extra steps do I need to take to upgrade the load-balanced production environment?

Thanks in advance,

Rich

This article has been very useful, but it does not address my question around the load balancer.

Do I need to apply the CRM 2016 Server update to both application servers?
