Quotes, Work Orders & Layaways

Hi,

I have a recently purchased Microsoft Dynamics RMS for my furniture store. We are having difficulty figuring out how to make the system work for our needs.

This is our issue we create multiple quotes for customers who often come back a week or so later to make a deposit and/or order an item. Should we use Work Order or Layaway?

We also need an easy way to make multiple payments on the items. Currently our system will only allow us to go from quote to work order. When we convert a quote to a work order and make multiple payments on the work order using "payments" we have to recalculate the amount paid every time the customer makes a partial payment. Is there a better way to do this?

Thanks!

    Hi there,

Both layway and workorder can be used for your requirement. Did you use additional option in a Wrokorder before picking it up. Press Shift + F9 and select the deposit amount. Then the balance will show in main work order screen when you recall it next time.
