Hello,
I have two custom Entities one is called Projects the other is called Lots. Project is a parent to the Lots Entity. I created a mail merge for the lots entity which was working perfect from advanced find so took the next step and using ribbon workbench added the mail merge button to lots Sub Grid. Now here is the problem. I have lots embed in a sub grid on the Projects entity for mass editing and viewing. When I invoke the mail merge button from this view it thinks the mail merge should belong to Project entity rather then Lots so its not showing our mail merge. I cant make a new mail merge as if I say the entity is Projects I don't have access to data fields on Lots. What options do I have if any to get this working?
Thanks

I have the same question (0)Since Dynamics CRM 2013, Sub Grids no longer have their own context sensitive ribbon/command bar when included on a form. Regardless of you selecting a record or not in your grid, the buttons in the ribbon/command bar will remain those of the Project.
If you want to reach the sub grid command bar for Lots, you'll have to go to the related Lots view of the Project.
