In D365, when looking at the Contacts list, the Filter by Keyword box which would typically be in the top right corner of the window, is no longer showing (see screenshot).
Does anyone know why that would happen?

Filter by Keyboard box no longer appears

The disappearance of the "Filter by Keyword" box in Dynamics 365 can be due to several reasons. Here are a few potential causes and solutions:

    1. User Interface Changes:

      • Sometimes, updates or changes to the user interface can cause certain elements to be hidden or moved. Check if there have been any recent updates to Dynamics 365 that might have affected the layout.

    2. Personalization Settings:

      • It's possible that personalization settings have been changed, causing the "Filter by Keyword" box to be hidden. Try resetting your personalization settings to see if it reappears.

    3. Security Roles and Permissions:

      • Ensure that your user account has the necessary permissions to use the "Filter by Keyword" feature. Sometimes, security roles and permissions can affect the visibility of certain features.

    4. Browser Issues:

      • Clear your browser's cache and cookies, or try accessing Dynamics 365 using a different browser. Browser-specific issues can sometimes cause elements to not display correctly.

    5. Customizations:

      • If there have been any customizations made to the Contacts list view, it's possible that these customizations have affected the visibility of the "Filter by Keyword" box. Review any recent customizations to see if they might be the cause.

    6. Advanced Find:

      • As an alternative, you can use the Advanced Find feature to perform more complex searches and filters. This can help you achieve similar results even if the "Filter by Keyword" box is not available.

If none of these solutions work, you may want to reach out to your Dynamics 365 administrator or Microsoft Support for further assistance.
