Configure WMDP (Warehouse Mobile Device Portal) on D365/D3FO

Hi,

I need to configure Warehouse Mobile Device Portal on D365, I am following below link for setup. But on very first step I am stuck as the required menu item (Download Warehouse Mobile Devices Portal) is not present on mentioned path.

I am logged-In with "Information technology manager role" but still i can't see this menu item. Please tell me if any other step is required.

    Can you please tell me if this new warehousing feature/Technology can be used on D365 Update 3?

    As I am confused by the supported versions mentioned in the link.

    I will say yes because it states it :-) Update 2 with hotfix KB3210014

    Prerequisites

    The app is available on Android and Windows operating systems. To use this app, you must have one of the following supported operating systems installed on your devices. You must also have one of the following supported versions of Finance and Operations. Use the information in the following table to evaluate if your hardware and software environment is ready to support the installation.

    Platform Version

    Android 4.4, 5.0, 6.0

    Windows (UWP) Windows 10 (all versions)

    Finance and Operations Microsoft Finance and Operations version 1611

    -or-

    Microsoft Dynamics Dynamics AX version 7.0/7.0.1 and Microsoft Dynamics AX platform update 2 with hotfix KB 3210014

    Actually I am confused as

    1. They have not mentioned update X "or higher", they have just mentioned specific versions.

    2. There is written Microsoft Finance and Operations version 1611, But actually version 1611 doesn't have name Finance and Operations, This name is used for update 8 or higher.

    The app has the pre-req of : Microsoft Dynamics Dynamics AX version 7.0/7.0.1 and Microsoft Dynamics AX platform update 2 with hotfix KB 3210014

    So that would be that platform or higher.

    I would not base anything on the name given the endless confusion the name changes have caused.
