Change TabIndex Order in Purchase Order screen - fields disappearing

Hi there,

I am trying to change the tabindex order in the grid section of the Purchase Order screen.

I change the tabindex property to the order I require in the various fields using customise mode and then save the customisations. When I load the screen again, some of the fields in the grid have totally disappeared. I have redone this a few times but get the same result. Can anybody help please?

Hello Jo Wykerd,

To my knowledge, if we are changing the TabIndex of a field in customization, the system will automatically change the TabIndex property of other controls.

All controls having a TabIndex between the TabIndex of the first control and the TabIndex of the last control will be included in the group of targeted controls.

Can you change the TabIndex of one specific control not all the control and save the customization?

Please check some of fields which have vanished from Grid. Please do the post if fields are again vanishing from the Grid.

I was trying to change the order of quite a few fields and it does seem to change the other controls tabindex properties automatically. Even if I change one or 2 a lot of the fields disappear. I am trying to make the Account and project fields third and fourth on the grid. If you want to see if you have the same problem.

Hello Jo,

I have tried your requirement on Dynamics SL 2011 FP1 Version 8.10.30917.00 (8.0.0) and It's working perfectly for me.

Could you please give the below tab index for Account & Project?

Account field: 27

Project field:28

Please just give try on this. we will see that how it goes.

Hi Perumal,

I replied to your email and attached a document.

Did you get it? Not sure how to attach here.

The attachment showed the screen with tabindex uncustomised in first shot.

Second shot is after I changed tabindex as you suggested and you will see project has disappeared.

Can you check the InGrid property of Project control?

Meanwhile I done the same customization on Purchase order screen in Dynamics SL 2011 FP1 . Customization changes perfectly reflected in Purchase Order Maintenance screen.

Did you search Hot fixes for Dynamics SL 2011 in Partner source?
