Hi all.

We have a scenario where we want hide the discount % on curtain invoices created in Business Central(latest version).
We are using sales prices and both invoice and line discounts are allowed.

Is there anyway to hide the discount column on the documents sent to the customers?
I have the same question (0)

Yes, you can hide the discount column on invoices sent to customers in Business Central by modifying the report layout used for invoices.

First, export the report layout that you'll use for the invoice document. After that, hide the discount column by adjusting the column properties. Finally, import the custom layout into Business Central and apply this new layout for the invoice document.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    • Modify the Report Layout - Report Selection -Sales:

      • Navigate to Report Layout Selection.
      • Identify the Sales Invoice report (e.g., Report ID 1306).
      • Create or edit a custom layout:
        • For Word Layout: Download and edit the layout in Microsoft Word. Remove the column or placeholder displaying the Discount %.
        • For RDLC Layout: Open the layout in Visual Studio, and delete or hide the discount column.
      • Save and upload the updated layout under Custom Report Layouts.
    • Assign the Custom Layout:

      • Go to Report Selection - Sales.
      • Locate the Invoice report type and assign the custom layout to replace the default one.Export and delete discount column.
    • Customer-Specific Layouts (Optional):

      • For specific customers, go to the Customer Card → Document Layouts.
      • Assign a different layout to exclude the discount column â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

RDL report layout customization can be easily downloaded from the report layout. Additionally, user roles can be personalized/customized to restrict access and prevent users from using it.
