What tool will you use to connect your GP to CRM? Will the integration only be one way? GP to CRM?

The Account Entity for CRM maps to RM00101 in GP.

The Product Entity for CRM maps to IV00101 in GP.

The Order Entity for CRM maps to SOP10100 and SOP10200 in GP.

There is setup work involved in CRM before you can successfully map your GP data to CRM.

For example, currency, shipping methods, payment terms, customer classes, exchange rates if working with foreign currencies, salespersons, item price levels, item unit of measure, all need to be setup in CRM before importing customers, items, and orders

I hope this answers your question.  I have experience mapping these entities. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Why not use any of the existing tools starting with the CRM Connector for Microsoft Dynamics GP. This tool is free and it's available from Microsoft for download. If you need something more robust, take a look at Scribe and their Scribe Template for Microsoft Dynamics GP and CRM or eOne's SmartConnect. Depending on the level of sophistication you need you can decide whether to customize or not.

I agree with Mariano. My company is using eOne's SmartConnect. It is easy to use and intuitive.

I have done my fair share of coding to hook up Microsoft Dynamics GP and Microsoft CRM with both the CRM Web Services and the GP Web Services and it's not as complicated, but that's because I am very familiar with the CRM SDK and the eConnect SDK (the basis for the CRM web services), but this can take you quite a bit of time if you are not as familiar with these tools.
