Ribbon Button

Posted on by 545

Hi Guys,

I added status reason as As won in Status code Open, now i need to call it using the Custom Button, as client requirement is the status should be open and status reason should be as won, when closed as won, I already hid the Button"Close as Won" and added a new button using ribbon workbench. Now when the user clicks on the custom button, the box should appear as below

Thanks & Regards

I don't think that you can do this in a supported way (except for building a custom web resource).

The main reason is that the Close Opportunity window calls some internal functions when clicking OK that are returned to the internal JavaScript functions form, and when you override the default Close As Won button, you are disabling that functionality, so the OK/Cancel button will possibly not work.

You other option might be (and has to be tested out), is calling a plugin on the OpportunityClose Create message (and possibly on the Opportunity SetState) that will modify your State and Status codes to the values that you want before the record is Saved.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello,

To make that happen you will have to develop that dialog as a Html/js webresource. Have you done that?
