unable to edit in excel in BC sandbox

Hi Experts,
 
I was asked that a user is unable to /Edit in Excel/ in the Sandbox environment. It works in the Production environment. 
My thought is it could be that the Excel add-in isn't supported in sandbox environments. Microsoft has had technical limitations with the data connection in the past. Back then, there isn't a timeline yet. But it is on the list.

Just wondering if someone knows for sure if this is still a limitation. If not, I need to further further troubleshoot.

    As Yun Zhu mentioned there are no restrictions, it works in both production and sandbox environments.

    Hi, as far as I know there is no such restriction. I just tested it and it works great in BC24.1 Sandbox.
     
    You can let users try switching environments directly in the Edit in Excel file

    Or let users try using the Edit in Excel function directly in the Browser.
