Payables and Cash Management unbelievable

Im in the middle of the company’s implementation of F&O and today we reviewed the Accounts Payable module

in the section where you can define your payments I asked if the system checked the cash available from the cash management module that from my point of view is the logical thing to do.

I have payment commitments (payables) and limited resources (Cash)

Why not consider both in my payments scheduling ?

The consultant said it’s not possible
I said it’s nonsense

Can somebody help me clarify this issue ???
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,
Noticing that you post two similar threads, you might consider deleting one and keeping only one. In response to your question, my thoughts are as follows:
Microsoft is probably considering the situation in most companies and breaking down roles and permissions. Because many positions are separate, for example, there are lower-level employees (such as purchasing specialists) who only need to fill out accounts payable and review purchase requests submitted by other departments of the company, and do not need to consider how much cash the company has available, only manager-level employees need to consider how much cash the company has available. And the part about cash management (at least the part about how much cash is available) is a secret for some companies, and only highly privileged people have access to it. So the workflow might look something like this: the specialist submits the payment workflow to the manager, who considers whether the request is reasonable in light of the available cash in the cash management module.
You can also post your opinion on Microsoft Ideas and hear what others have to say: Ideas (dynamics.com).
    Best regards,
    Kevin

F&O provides a couple options for viewing/managing cash flow.

In your payment proposal, the Balance control function displays cash positions for all bank accounts in the proposal, before and after the proposal totals. (Not sure why images are broken).

Another option is to configure the Cash Flow Forecast feature.  There's a Cash flow forecast workspace in Cash & bank management.
