Retail : How to override POS discount logic

Hi All,

Recently we have requirement to apply a custom business login on retail POS.

Using default functionality it will not be covered. We have more than 20+ POS terminal.

Could you please share the best possible approach to apply a custom discount logic on POS transaction?

    Hi,

    The best starting point we suggest you to go through the Retail SDK sample for pricing and discounts.  

    In the Retail SDK folder, you should look at the documents here:\RetailSDK\Documents\SampleExtensionsInstructions\PricingAndDiscounts

    These should give some examples and point you at the different sample extensions that exist for pricing and discounts.

    It will purely depend on what kind of custom discount logic you want to implement. If there are minor changes you want to into the existing discount mechanism you can trigger CRT discount related requests and update it as per your requirement.

    If you want to change it completely you can remove the discount buttons from POS and add your custom button with brand new custom logic to apply the discount.

    The first approach is with less effort and for minor changes. The second approach is with more effort but with full control to implement anything.
