Statistics on payment practices report errors

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 506

Running the report at:

Accounts payable > Reports > Statistics > Statistics on payment practices

I get 2 errors posted to the InfoLog

File C:\Users\svcAXAOS\AppData\Local\Temp\PaymentPracticesReport_UK.xlsx not found

The file C:\Users\svcAXAOS\AppData\Local\Temp\AxReports\PaymentPracticesReport_UK_20190401_20190819.xlsx cannot be created.

I can see that on the Server OS the file noted in the 1st error is present, as is the sub-folder "AxReports" included in the 2nd error.

These are created when the report is run.

However, I need to create both file and sub-folder on my client's hard drive to get the report to work properly.

It seems there is something wrong here - any ideas?

    Hi MGP,

Have you installed the necessary updates for AX?

Please have a look at the following site: support.microsoft.com/.../a-regulatory-feature-update-for-uk-statistics-on-payment-practices

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Thanks Ludwig - this KB will have been installed by our Partner so unfortunately I have no immediate way of telling, although there are 3 models installed related to the KB number.

I've looked at the code (PaymentPracticesReport_UK and super class XMLExcelReport_RU) and the Excel file is an AOT resource so this file is being accessed and written to server-side, while the AxReports sub-folder is created on the server too.

It's just when the report data is later written to the template file and copied to the sub-folder directory, it expects those things to be on the client!

Only by creating the folder structure on the client will the report run.

We will raise with the Partner unless anyone has any direct experience of these specific issues?

    Hello MGP,

Cool. Would be great if you could keep us informed how things are going and whether some additional support is required.

    Many thanks and best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi MGP ,

Have you received any reply from Microsoft over this error as we have been experiencing same error as you highlighted above ?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

    Hi sri17,

The fastest and probably easiest way to get this resolved is opening a new support request with MS if you cannot find any other hint on LCS. Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi sri17,

I raised the issue with management but they created the folders on each of the client PCs that were required to prevent the error from happening. Hope that helps

    Hi MGP,

So, the creation of the different folders is your 'workaround' / solution that fixed this issue?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

Yes it is but you need to copy the template file from the server to the identical location on the client PC and your user needs rights to write files to these locations.

This solution isn't perfect worked for us because of low number of users running that report.

    Hope that helps.
