How to exclude specific batches from General Journal Batch Approval workflow?

Posted on by 23
We've set up a workflow for General Journal Batch Approval, but we need to exclude certain batches from this process. The issue is in Step 1 of the On Condition filter:
When changing the filter from "Always" to specific conditions, it seems we can only set filters to include certain batches (equivalent of "is equal to"), not exclude them (equivalent of "is not equal to").

My questions are:
1. Am I overlooking any options to exclude batches?
2. Is there a specific syntax we can use to accomplish this?
3. Is there an alternative method to achieve our goal?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I would if that feature worked, but it hasn't in a while.

You can use <> to exclude a value. i.e. if you have batched called Default and Default 1 you can exclude both with this syntax in the Name field - '<>Default&<>Defautl1'
