Where to find picking list report in visual studio

ReportReport

Hi:

I suspect the sales order picking list report was designed in visual studio.

If I am correct can someone tell me the name of the visual studio report project and in which folders will I find it?

Steve

    Hi Steve ,

Not sure about the name of the project but the report name is WMSPickingList_OrderPick. You can find it in visual studio AOT easily .

    Hi Sukrut

I did find it in the AOT under Reports but I did not see and report design file just a Permissions folder.

Can you tell me where exactly in the AOT?

I am little bit confused. Are you saying you are not able to find design ?

    I found WMSPickingList_OrderPick>Designs> Report & ReportCZ

Under Report and ReportCZ are Permissions node.

I see Tables, Server Methods & Associated Forms nodes.

How do I modify the report?

My objective is to see if I can modify the report to show the expiry date beside the batch number.

    Any suggestions?

    Steve

right click on the design you want to modify for example "Report" and click edit . Report design will be open in designer mode , where you can make changes

    HI Steve,

You can directly open AOT in visual studio from there go to visual studio project node and open your report to edit

    Hi Steve,

Lately, I've customized sales packing slip with procedure I found in this post, for design-changing only.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/unified-operations/dev-itpro/analytics/custom-designs-business-docs

After right-click the report and select "Duplicate in project" (procedure#3), I could edit report design.

    Please have a look.

Also, although I've not tried yet, there is another post showing the procedure to customize report with table extension.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/unified-operations/dev-itpro/analytics/expand-app-suite-report-data-sets

Hope this would be your help.
