Printer Issue with Business Central (on-prem)

Hi Team,

We have an BC (on-prem) client who are trying to use the printer for printing directly from Business Central. Initially the printer was not showing up in the list. We installed the Universal printer extension and registered the printer on Azure and also shared but still unable to print directly. when we try to print even if the printer is selected as default it prints as PDF.

Are we missing any steps or can anyone advise how we can solve the issue for printing.

    Hello,

Did you configure a report in BC to be printed via universal printer?

    Thank you.

    Hi Hatimali84,

Apart from printer management, try selecting your printer in the printer selection setting as well...

    Hi All,

Thank you for all your responses. The issue is resolved.

We installed the printer on the server and used the steps above and it started printing.

The issue i saw was we cannot use a network printer for the on prem environment, it has to be installed on the server for it to work.

I hope this information helps others.
