Dynamic Worksheet with Server Side Synchronization

Hello,

To export to a Dynamic Worksheet in excel currently requires the Outlook client to work. Does anyone know if they still work with Server Side Synchronization & the App for Outlook? If not, are there any plans from Microsoft to get this functionality in a different way? This would be with the most up to date versions of Dynamics 365 CE deployed on premise.
