How to Stop a Process Flow in CM 2013

If a user has incorrectly assigned a process flow or one was assigned by the system to a record that is not required to go through any sort of flow how do I stop the assigned flow (I don't want to switch processes I want to stop it).

Supplementary - How do I decide whether to run a flow on a record and choose which one if required?

I am a little confused as it seems to automatically assign one even if I don't want it to, and that includes just viewing a record that currently has no flow.

Thanks

Peter

    Hi Peter,

The BPF will automatically start based on the ordering of the processes (similar to ordering of forms). There is no supported way of removing the Business Process Flow at this time but CRM2015 brings much more control over dynamic visibility of the BPF on a form.

I wrote a Custom Workflow Activity to control the process sever side (develop1.net/.../How-to-change-process-and-stage-programmatically.aspx) but CRM2015 will have branch logic built into the process flow it's self.

    Hope this helps,

    Scott

    Hi Scott

Many thanks for the reply - I think the 2015 branching logic will actually give me what I need with the ability to place a record in  'holding pattern' as part of a larger process.

    Regards

    Peter
