If domain authentication is set up, does the from address in the Marketing Email needs to actually exist or I can use anything@domain as long/since as the domain is authenticated and only domain will be checked? The test mails are passing OK but would like to double check...

No the address doesn't need to exist from a deliverability perspective, but it is important that the domain matches one of those that is authenticated using DKIM. More info here:
