Requisition Worksheet not respect the Fixed Reorder Qty Policy

Hi everyone,

In this test, I use requisition worksheet to calculate the purchase plan.  The question is why the calculation result not respect the Fixed Reorder Quantity?  Are there anything that I missed? How to set this correct.

1. Item Card set up: Recording Policy="Fixed Recorder Qty", Reorder Point=2, Recorder Quantity= 70

2. This is item availability by event

3. Calculate Plan-Requisition Worksheets and set up

Result: the suggested PO quantity=100. Why the order quantity is not =70?.

Thank you.

I see on 'Item Card', "Minimum Order Quantity" = 100; maybe this is reason.

Your Planning Parameters on the Item Card are conflicting with each other.  When using Fixed Reorder Quantity there is no need to set a Min. Order Qty or Order Multiple.  The Quantity Ordered is Fixed at whatever amount is set in the Reorder Quantity Field.  Using the Modifiers doesn't make sense for Fixed Reorder Quantity.

You should either set your Reorder Quantity to 100 (assuming that is your true Min. Order Qty) and blank both the Min Order and Order Multiple fields

    OR

Change to a different Reorder Policy with a Variable calculation (Max Inventory or Lot-for-Lot).

Thanks Ben. I now know the reason.
In below screen print, I found that Modifier like Maximum Quantity helps consolidate the multiple lines of same order date into one single line on the PO, which makes more sense in this situation.
