Crystal Report - error opening report - database connector error - Function sequence error

We recently upgraded to SL2011 FP1 (from SL7 FP1).  Now certain reports open with the following crystal error:

Crystal Report Windows Forms Viewer - Database Connector Error: 'HY010:[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Function sequence error' Error in File XXXXX.rpt ...

Any suggestions on what to do here?

    Are we talking about customized reports or the canned ones?

    If we are talking about customized ones, you could try opening them in the new Crystal Report editor and just saving them.
