I tried following the steps in guide to Add an Azure Connector.
As part of this step, I provided Name, my Azure subscription Id, Azure subscription AAD tenant domain. I then tried to configure Azure (via the Azure portal) to add the dynamics deployment service (I have done the authorization step for it in lcs).
However, I dont see any place in the Azure IAM Add role flow that lets me configure the service. The UI flow is very different from the one given in the document here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/project-operations/environment/resource-add-azure-subscription-lcs-project.
I instead see (in the Azure IAM page) options to choose from Add role assignment like
* Assignment Type (Job function role or Privileged administrator roles)
I have added the screenshot below.
* Selecting either option DOES NOT provide me the ability to configure a service.
What am I missing or doing wrong?
Since Im unable to configure the service, I am not able to deploy the demo to Azure.
any help is appreciated.

You are right, the interface had become a little bit different.
You would have to select the contributor role, then select Dynamics deploy member.
