Dual write for project operation

Hi everyone,

I’m setting up dual write for Project Operations using this doc: Install Project Operations dual-write map versions | Microsoft Learn.

All solutions were installed in the right order, but when I run the mapping Project resource roles for all companies (bookableresourcecategories) I get this error: Type=Microsoft.Dynamics.Integrator.Exceptions.DualWriteException, Msg=Dual write failure - Dynamics 365 for Sales solution 'Dynamics365ProjectOperationsDualWrite' is missing. Required version: '1.0.0.0'.

I even tried switching the mapping version, but no luck.

Has anyone hit this issue before?

Hi Viswanath,

Have you checked if the solutions are correctly installed on your Power Platform environment? Check if you have successfully deployed Dynamics 365 HR Integration to URS.

If all is installed correctly, have you applied the solution HCM Scheduling via the Dual Write home page?

Hi @André Arnaud de Calavon,

I’ve verified that the Dynamics 365 HR Integration to URS solution is installed, and I also applied the HCM Scheduling solution from the Dual Write home page. Unfortunately, the same error still persists. Appreciate your guidance — if you have any further suggestions, that would be really helpful.

Hi Viswanath,

What type of deployment are you using? Is this an LCS sandbox or environment created via the Power Platform Admin Center? Is it a new deployment or an older environment? Are there probably updates available for any dual write app?

In case all pre-requisites are met, you can also consider logging an incident for Microsoft Support

Hi @André Arnaud de Calavon,

This deployment is via Power Platform Admin Center, and the environment itself is an older one, but all the dual write solutions were installed just yesterday. I appreciate the suggestion on raising a Microsoft Support ticket — I’ll consider that next if the issue continues.

In another older tenant, we recently found out that we are missing one of the required enterprise applications on Azure. I'm now trying to find if we can recreate that app ourselves or if we also need to create a support ticket.
