Customizing Role Centers in AX 2012 R2

Hello!

I'll preface this question by stating that I'm new to customizing AX...

I'm attempting to create customized role centers (to be viewed primarily via the AX client home pages) for my company's owners and the senior management team.  The first page I'm working on (for the owner/CEO of the company) is looking to have performance indicators and financial ratios from many of the other roles on her page.

Rather than customize the CEO role center page to what she needs, I'd like to copy it (leaving the original page intact) and modify the copy.

Is this possible?  If so, can anyone help me with the process, keeping in mind I'm a novice in this area?

Thanks in advance,

sm

It is possible, Microsoft has a blog article on this. Googling "ax copy role center" gave a first-page result, you may give this a try, even though it is listed for AX 2009:

My apologies, Vilmos... I should have mentioned that I saw that article but discounted it because we are on 2012 R2.  I didn't see anything related directly to our version, hence my question to the group to see if anyone had experience in 2012 to share.

I'll work through the article and see if it's still relevant.

Yes it is still the same, AX 2009 and 2012 are not fundamentally different, just an improved version.
