How to know if an order is paid or shipped on GP

I need to make a cancellation process for the orders in GP, so I need to check whether the orders are shipped or paid and if not we could inform the customer that the order can be cancelled. So I need to check this conditions in the GP database,and the condition for the payment would be if the credit card on the order has not been charged yet, please advise how can I check these conditions?

This would need to be defined in a business process. As far as when a product has shipped, GP has a number of fields that are populated (also dependent on the flow setup in SOP around fulfillment) such as Date Shipped, Qty Fulfilled, Qty to Invoice, etc.. So even if GP has all those filled, there still has to be something from the shipping dock to state it has been shipped. I find the most common method is a filled out pick ticket that comes to Accounting.

The payment will be much the same way although it could be simpler. Do you have the Nodus CC advantage product? Another ISV with CC? If not, there is a field in the payment details to enter in an authorization number. To me that would be the trigger the CC info has been taken and payment authorized.

Based on your submission, some processes should be put in place to help to define when orders should be processed so the those that need to be cancelled are easier to flag.
