Internal inventory requisition D365 SCM

Hi Guys,

I am having an issue with a client that we are implementing D365 SCM on. Their business processes require the individual users to create stores requisition which are approved by their supervisors whenever they have item needs.

My question is: Is there any functionality in the system where we can create stores requisition or internal requisitions at departmental levels?

    Purchase Requisition feature can be used here.

    Hi Alexio,

    Is this question about requesting inventory for internal consumption from stock or is the process about ordering new goods which need to be sourced from a vendor?

    If it is about internal consumption, then there is an option to consume inventory for internal purposes (without workflow). A requisition with workflow before this process is not available in the standard application. The purchase requisitions could be used, but could lead to generation of purchase orders and there is no link to stores.

    You can also try Inventory movement or transfer journal with workflow, where requestor will create the journal and submit for approval. It it is approved , it can be posted for inventory to move.
