Exporting a list of Accounts with the GUIDS

I want to export a list of Accounts with the GUIDs and I thought I could do this by exporting an advanced find view into Excel as a "Dynamic Worksheet" however, when I do the Excel sheet just says "Script is disabled. Click Submit to continue."

Anyone have a solution to this or another way to export the GUIDs for a large number of Accounts?

What if you export as a static list and they choose the option at the bottom to re-import. It will export as a XML file but you can still open this in Excel. Do so and save as a .CSV file. When you re-open the first column will be the GUID of the record.

    Step by Step Instructions.

So working with export for reimport files from CRM in Excel can be frustrating if you aren't planning on using them as intended by just updating fields, saving and reimporting.

Here are the steps you should follow to get the GUIDS.

    1. Export to Excel for reimport.

    2. Save the file.

    3. Open up Excel and browse to the file and open it in Excel.

    4. Once it is in Excel don't do anything except the next step.

    5. Do a Save As and save it as a CSV file.

    6. Close Excel, ignore the warnings.

    7. Open up Excel, browse the file from step 5 and open it up.

    8. You should see all the hidden columns, nothing is protected and all re-import setup has been removed.

    9. All the GUIDS will be column A.
