Hi Isabel,
at the moment it's only possible to restrict access to employees in the following 2 ways:
1) assign manager self service role: the manager will only see his/her direct reports in the My Team screen
2) restrict access by Legal Entity by assigning the Legal Entity to the role(s)

Go to System administration > Security Configuration to config the role and permission.
