How to Maintain single piece of item weight in ax 2012 R3.

like i have 1 box=10 pieces.Total box wt is 10 kg. This total weight maintain on Catch weight.  

I need Each pieces have 1 kg. How to map the single piece of wt in Ax  

Can some body tell me how this functionality is working.

    The weight given on the item is based on the inventory unit. The Inventory unit is the key. All other units are derived from that.

    If your inventory unit is pcs, then the net weight should be 1 kg. If it is box, then it is 10 kg.

    I guess your unit conversion is 1:10.

    If you have a variance between units and also include packing weights on you product you can use box as inventory unit and add that to the tara weight resulting in a higher gross weight then the actual product.

    You can also have a conversion from each to kg if you want, but that is only if you handle any transactions (bom, purchase, sales or inventory) in this unit.

    Can i maintain the multiple unit conversion for single item.

    Actually my requirement is like this

    Item Box Pieces Single Piece weight   units wt of item Total Units

    ABC    1       5                     20                      kg              100                       kg

                      1                     20                      Kg

    Total weight i can maintain catch weight. How can i maintain Pieces wise weight.

    Tell me how this functionality is working.

    I guess you can do that in the table and the calculator would work, but any calculation made by the system is based on the inventory unit.

    So if it is box, it would be 100kg divided by the conversion between box and each.

    I would play around with this and see what results you get.

    Where do you want the data to be shown anyway? Is this for calculation of shipment weights?
