Configure the Entities in a Post's Lookup

Greetings,

We are trying out Posts in our dev environment, but we have hit an issue that might prevent us from rolling it out in production.

When tagging a record using the @ symbol, we need a way to filter the records that display in the Lookup form. Is there an out of the box way to filter these entity types?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

    Hi Adam,

You can change the view by hand to select an entity to filter on.

You could try to modify the quick find view of the Wall view (Posts) entity but I'm not sure if that is wise

    Thanks for the response, Stefan!

I knew about the manual Change View option. The list of entities in the Change View is long, contains entities we are not using, and  is not in any discernible order (It would be nice if they were at least in alphabetical order). Our desired behavior is to be able to configure which entities are available to be tagged in a Post or in the Change View at least, but that does not seem possible.

I checked the Wall View entity and all the views are managed so there are no changes we can make.

I appreciate the suggestions, but it feels like there might not be a good solution for me here.

    Hi Adam,

I've looked at the Settings > Activity Feeds Configuration > Post Configurations as well, but there seems to be no relation between enabled/disabled for Wall view and the availability of the entities  in the lookup.

So it's just a matter of accepting it ;-0

    Hi Stefan,

That is certainly how it seems. Here's to hoping there are more options in a future release.

Thanks for your time and suggestions!
