Store Operations Manager Shortcut Changes

A client of ours uses RMS; on several occasions the shortcut name for Store Operations Manager changes, it seems to be happening randomly, and changes back after a time.

This happens on multiple computers (all of which are Windows XP Professional machines), and only happens to the Store Operations Manager shortcut. The number it changes to looks to be the log on number of the user duplicated.

 Does anyone know what could be causing this, or has anyone encountered it before?

There don't seem to be any adverse effects of this, but it's somewhat of an oddity.

    its and a big deal. when user trying to login tell him to click on software just two times not three.

    because he click three times and put his use name and password. and I am sure its his use name and password.

    Hello,

    The most likely cause of this issue, from my experience is due to double clicking on the name instead of the icon.

    When you double click on the name, it highlights it and prepares it to be renamed.  However at the same time the program is opening.

    When the cashier goes to log in, they type their login ID and it changes the name.  Then when they click on the username or password because it is not typing, it saves that change, but it is not seen because the program is blocking the view.
