Do we have any restriction for assign security role, I was asked once,
what entities can we assign a security role?

You can assign security role to User's and Team's.

Hi Aniket,
You can assign security role almost every entity which are mentioned in the section like Core Records,Marketing, Sales,Service,Business Management , Service Management, Customization, Custom Entity.
All Custom entity should be show in the Custom Entity Tab which means that there is no restriction for entity to assign security role.

No there are no restrictions. The only thing is that we you assign a security role to user, then he will gain access to the entities as per that security role. So you may need to be consider what roles needs to be assigned to user.
