Release Order Line grayed out

Hello Experts,

I have an issue which am trying to fix but having problems.

When we create a sales agreement and then ready to pt it to a sales order nothing comes out on the sales order. I have to be entering the line all over again on the ales order.

My Steps:

On the Sales Agreement Line I select "Related Information"

from that I see "release order Lines", Invoice Lines, Prices but both "Release order Lines" and "Invoice Lines" are grayed out. I have full privileges. Any idea as to why this is happening and how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Lionel07,

Kindly make the sales agreement with product quantity commitment. Once that is done confirm the agreement and make sure mark as effective check mark is checked. Now your sales agreement will become effective.

Now use the "Release order" in the new pane on the sales agreement form to generate a sales order against this sales agreement. In the form enter the quantity for which you want to make sales order and press ok.

A sales order will be created against this sales agreement. In the related information pane you get the information of the sales order lines linked to this sales agreement.

If the release order lines is grayed out it means you have not released any sales order against this sales agreement till now.

Kindly try to release the sales order by using "release order" in new pane of the sales agreement. Let us know if you face any issues while releasing the sales agreement.

Senor I have done all that you asked but it is still grayed out. here is a screen shot of what it is

Hi Lionelf07,

Were you able to release the sales order for this sales agreement?

Kindly navigate to the line details of this sales agreement and check what is the quantity in the released field.

If there is zero quantity in released field then it means you have not released any sales order for this sales agreement and related information will be grayed out as there are no order lines to show.

there are digits in the quantity field, please se screen shots.

I really need help on this because its very said we have to be reentering all the lines in the sales order.

Hi Lionelf07,

The line selected in above screenshot have 3 items and below in the line details remaining quantity is 3. So this line has not been released and if you will see related information release order lines will be grayed out.

So kindly go to the action pane and in the new tab click release order. Once clicked create release order form will get open and in the lines just add 3 in the sales quantity and press ok. A sales order will be created for this sales agreement after which you will be able to see release order lines in related information.

Hi Lionel, please don't prefix tags with #, separate words by space and individual tags by comma. Therefore it should be sales order, sales agreement instead #SalesOrder #SalesAgreements.

one question please... I have a request to show all the persons who have privileges to create a sales agreement. I have been searching but cannot find anything. I am still trying to understand how the roles and securities and done/assigned in AX 2012. Please any suggestion/ help would be grateful.
