We have authenticated two different email domains for Dynamics 365 marketing. When a user has the same email ID domain as one of the authenticated domains, he/she is able to send marketing emails. But if the email ID domain is not the same as the authenticated domain then the system is showing an error message.
For example CRM user email ID - john.smith@abc.com and Authenticated domain - abc.com (no issues)
CRM user email ID - john.smith@abc.com and Authenticated domain - xyz.com (error message)
Error message - ( From: The from address for this message uses a domain that is not authenticated for your organization)
So, is it necessary to create a CRM user with john.smith@xyz.com to be able to use the xyz.com domain?
Hi,
The email address which is not contained in the domain can also be used to send the marketing emails. The message you mentioned is a warning message instead of error message.
But it also increases the risk of your emails being blocked or other incidents occurring
If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.

Thank You Nya for your response.
It helped me to some extent. But it did not answer my question in its entirety.
My question was, is it mandatory to have the same email ID domain for the CRM user as the authenticated domain in CRM?
Ex - can a CRM user with email ID john.smith@abc.com use a domain @xyz.com for sending a marketing email or he can only use @abc.com?
Hi,
Please refer to the following documentation:
Domain authentication (Dynamics 365 Marketing) | Microsoft Docs
And please check if the status of the domain which leads to the error message is confirmed.
If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.
Best Regards,
Nya
