VAT Daybook .dbo.vatDaybookCalculateSummary not found

We have upgraded in our test environment from GP 10 to GP 2013 and then to GP 2016 R2, all the upgrades completed successfully.

Now on the VAT Return window, when we click Calculate we get an error saying that stored procedure .dbo.vatDaybookCalculateSummary could not be found. The VAT Daybook option is selected on the client install, any ideas why this stored procedure would be missing?

Thanks

    Hi Alvin Evans,

This is a know bug in Ms, as the error saying that stored procedure .dbo.vatDaybookCalculateSummary was missed in one of the build and if you now upgrade to the latest version of GP2016 then this issue will be solved.

If not log a support case with Ms requesting for this stored procedure .dbo.vatDaybookCalculateSummary and they can provide you the stored procedure to install in your database and then the issue will be solved.

Hope this help you on your issue.

    Best Regards,

    Shabareesh

    Hello,

This looks like a systems issue with the SQL collation.  The script below will return your current collation and SQL Sort Order value (Support values are 50 or 52.).

    sp_Helpsort

I am front-end VAT Daybook support and this looks like a systems issue.  You can search the collation error out on Bing and find more information out there and from other posts in the community to find out more.  Otherwise, I would recommend to open a Support Incident with the Dynamics System Manager team, so you can discuss it with a Systems Support Engineer.

    Thanks

Have applied service pack 'MicrosoftDynamicsGP16-KB4073327-ENU-Build-0675' when running Vat Return get this series of errors:-

    1) An error occurred executing SQL Statements

    2) GPS error 58

    3) SQL Error:468 [Micrsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0][SQL Server]Cannot resolve the collation conflict between "Latin1_General_BIN" and Latin1_General_CI_AS" in the equal to operation.

    4) ODBC Error 3700

If any problems after installing the 2017 year-end update, we prefer that you open a support case so we can track the issue and provide a work-around for you.   There are some known issues still with the summary form.  Please open a support case and you will not be charges for it if it is a quality issue.

    Thanks.

Does it also fix the incorrect figures showing on the summary screen?

  • RE: VAT Daybook .dbo.vatDaybookCalculateSummary not found

This should be fixed in the 2017 Year-end update.  In the meantime, you can script it out from another install or a US install, or open a support case to obtain it at no-charge.

    That's strange as it specifically states in the fix list;

    VAT Daybook

When you process the VAT report you may receive an error could not find stored procedure - vatDaybookCalculateSummary UK install only.

VAT detail report may show incorrect figures if you have 2 or more tax codes on a transaction.

VAT report Box 8 and 9 duplicated Box 6 and 7, should only include EU figures.

After you applied the January 2016 January hotfix, the VAT report was not pulling the exceptions into the report based on date range.

Even with GP 2016 R2 service pack (MicrosoftDynamicsGP16-KB4046341-ENU- Build 0641) applied it is still broken. Microsoft - please advise the exact workaround.

    Thanks Cheryl

  • RE: VAT Daybook .dbo.vatDaybookCalculateSummary not found

    Hi,

These are currently known issues with the VAT Return in GP 2016 only.   You will need to script out the missing stored proc if you run into that.  (Or open a support case and we'll provide it to you at no-charge.)  Also, all debtors/creditors now need a country code on them going forward.  The detailed reports are correct, so you can use those to get your return out in the meantime.  We are currently reviewing the VAT Return Summary report and targeting a fix to be included in the 2017 year-end update.  Watch our Dynamics GP blog site for updates.
