How to Customize Event Management Portal Home Page?

Hello All,

I am trying to customize the Home Page of Event Management Portal ,but i am able to find the edit option menu in the home page,but its coming for me for profile page.I had assigned admin role to contact .am i missing anything?or is there any way to customize the home page of Event Management Portal

If you are getting edit option menu then what else you need?

Hi,

I think when you are Home Page, you are not logged in which is why you don't get the edit option. Once you login, portal knows that you are admin and gives you the options to edit. Now, once you log in, you need to access the home page manually by changing the url.

The other option is to change it within the CRM as well. You can change everything within crm.

@Ravi Thanks for the quick reply,can you please tell me the steps to edit the home page from CRM ,i have changed the Home page content but its not reflecting in portal.My requirement is to change the home page content and add a HTML.

Hi RK,

Can you share what exactly you want to change? You will find all the content snippits inside CRM Portals >> Content Snippits, zo you can change it there. If you want to change the images, you will find it under web files.

Hi Ravi,

1. I want to change the default content "This portal uses sample data for illustration........"(See small rectangle)

2.I want to put an Image in the background (See big rectangle)

So far i am trying to change the content from web-page section of CRM but its not reflecting. Is it the right way or do i need to change it somewhere else.

Sorry but I don't have the Event Portal configured so can't say what exact xomponent you need to change. The content is normaly managed by conetent snippit entity in CRM. Check if you have any record there which has this value.

Same for the image. I am assuming you had some image before?

Hi Ravi,

I am able to see the default contents in CRM(Portal-->Web Pages-->Home-->Localized Content(English)),but when i changed something here its getting reflected ,i had portal restart,cache clear but no luck

I have this same question. I tried what RK described above and did not have success either. I'm also running into an issue with a speaker I've removed is still showing up on the portal and a sponsor logo I've changed is still showing the old version. Any help with what drives the portal to update would be appreciated.

I have Reset my Event Portal and after that i reconfigured it again and also upgrade it (as it was sowing update is available ) .Now it is working fine for me
