error is shown below. I have checked multiple times and the quick view fields are same as 8.0 version CRM.

I am totally stuck. could someone provide some hints. the field is a lookup and the relationships are all in place.

An error has occurred.

Try this action again. If the problem continues, check the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Community for solutions or contact your organization's Microsoft Dynamics 365 Administrator. Finally, you can contact Microsoft Support. If you contact support, please provide the technical details.

    Hi,

Check if you have customized this Quote Product subgrid. If you have some other organization (uncustomized), check if the issue is happening there to isolate if it is just this org or the complete installation.

If it is working fine in other vanilla org, review the customization (mainly the view used in the subgrid) and then use that in yourorg.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Ravi

It is not custom grid. more over the form is standard form not changed at all. I created another form for quote product and it had same error. however it works when i hit preview in desktop view.

    Hi

You are getting this error when its trying to get the list of columns to be displayed on the lookup view.

    >System.Xml.XmlException: Microsoft Dynamics CRM has experienced an error. Reference number for administrators or support: #14FB4ECC: System.Xml.XmlException: Root element is missing.

      at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.Throw(Exception e)

      at System.Xml.XmlReader.MoveToContent()

      at System.Xml.Linq.XElement.Load(XmlReader reader, LoadOptions options)

      at System.Xml.Linq.XElement.Parse(String text, LoadOptions options)

      at Microsoft.Crm.ViewUtility.GetColumnsFromFetchXml(String fetchXml)

The error message seems to suggest that its not recognising the Fetch XML. It could happen for a few reasons. I would first check if you can open the lookup view and try and add a column to it and publish the entity and then try and see if the error goes away?

    Hope this helps.

    Hi

it is product search field and there is no view associated with it. it has been working with the same view in the 8.0 version. only 8.2.3 version has this issue. I have tested adding columns to the quick lookup view and no change with the error. any other idea?
