Multiusers in Dynamics GP

Hello Guys, I am very fresher here in Dynamics GP and I just tried to fix "Multiuser" in Dynamics GP for a field in a XXX table through Dexterity using "PRGV2" Help document. I'm using "RECORDCHANGED" function and i created another one instance from the same Database. The RECORDCHANGED function did not fire for both users. Can anyone suggest me? Thanks in Advance.

As Active Locking is not a suggested method, we are working with passive locking.  As I have already worked on Multiuser coding before and it has worked too, maybe I need to check if the lock on the table is not set properly, I mean I would have given a 'release table..'  statement somewhere that is release the table lock maybe.  I have already tried to debug in that angle, but still did not a break.

If you are using Active Locking, the same field cannot be modified by two users. Check your table additional information on the table buffer and see if you in fact have an active lock on the record. Once an active lock is placed on the record it becomes a look but don't touch item.

    Hi,

We face the same issue in our environment.  We are developing a new functionality (all custom screens) that should be working in multiuser environment.  I have locked the existing record using EDIT statement, this code is in the change event of the key field.

    We are using ACTIVE LOCKING.

Later after editing the record, when I click SAVE, I used the 'copy to' statement and 'Save' statement. Immediately after Save, I check the err() value, it directly goes to OKAY condition all the time (even in multiuser, when same record, same field is modified by 2 different users), it does not come inside the RECORDCHANGED condition.

Can anyone help us on this?

    Thanks,
