As I said on my subject would like to know if is possible to hide, remove or tailor this Related - Common tab from the main case (incident) form, removing the whole tab or individual items

Basically this is called the related tab which will used to show the related entities which have some relationship with main entity.
Now you have 2 options for this.
1. Remove related tab itself, for this please follow below blog which will help you.

2. Remove selected related entities, it is possible some times we need to remove selected entities rather than whole tab during that time we need to remove this entities manually one after another. Please refer below thread where you will need to refer 1st suggested answer of Lu Hao.

The second option about editing the display in 1:N Relationships for related entities was the best choice, easy to undo without the need to enter in difficulties of removing no custom entities
